Add your AI API key
Connect one supported provider to power AI answers, resumes, cover letters, and outreach.
Jobora uses Bring Your Own Key. Your Jobora subscription and your AI-provider billing are separate, and you only need one working provider key to begin testing AI-powered workflows.
For most users, start with one of the fast, lower-cost models that matches your provider and current budget. The extension supports Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite (Recommended) and Gemini 2.5 Flash, OpenAI GPT-4o mini plus GPT-5 Nano and GPT-5.4 Nano, DeepSeek V4 Flash, and Anthropic Claude 3.5 Haiku.
General setup
Create an API key in the provider dashboard
Use the provider account that you want Jobora to bill through.
Open Jobora Settings
Go to the AI provider and model settings inside the extension.
Select the provider
Choose Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek, or Anthropic.
Select a supported model
Pick one of the models currently shown by the extension for that provider.
Paste the API key
Use the provider key created in your own dashboard.
Save settings
Save before you test any AI-driven workflow.
Add billing or credits if required
Some providers need an active billing setup or a funded balance before requests will succeed.
Test one AI action
Run a small generation first instead of jumping into large batches.
Monitor usage in the provider dashboard
Check spend, quotas, and any provider-side warnings regularly.
Verified provider and model summary
- Google Gemini: Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite (Recommended) and Gemini 2.5 Flash. Good starting point for many users because Flash-Lite is the current default low-cost option in this product.
- OpenAI: GPT-4o mini, GPT-5 Nano, and GPT-5.4 Nano. GPT-4o mini is the steadier writing-focused option, while the Nano models are configured as lower-cost high-volume options.
- DeepSeek: DeepSeek V4 Flash. This is the verified DeepSeek model wired into the current catalog.
- Anthropic: Claude 3.5 Haiku. This is the Anthropic model currently supported in this codebase.
Gemini setup
Open Google AI Studio, create a key, then in Jobora choose Gemini and either Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite (Recommended) or Gemini 2.5 Flash. Save the key, confirm billing or quotas for your account if needed, and test one generation. Start with the provider's minimum available balance or a small test budget that feels safe for your account.
OpenAI setup
OpenAI API billing is separate from any ChatGPT subscription. Create a platform API key, add billing or credits as required by your account, then in Jobora choose OpenAI and a supported model such as GPT-4o mini or one of the current Nano options before testing.
DeepSeek setup
Create a DeepSeek key in the provider platform, choose DeepSeek and DeepSeek V4 Flash in Jobora, save the key, then add a small test balance if your account requires it and monitor usage from the provider dashboard.
Anthropic setup
If you want to use Anthropic, create an Anthropic console API key, choose Anthropic and Claude 3.5 Haiku in Jobora, confirm billing access for your account, and test a single workflow before broader use.

Protect your key
Do not publish or share your API key. Use provider-side spending limits or budget controls where available, rotate a key if it is exposed, and remove keys you no longer use.
