Guide
Organize referral outreach
Find leads, manage connection workflows, and prepare referral follow-up with better structure.
Referral Engine is the workflow for scanning LinkedIn job-related posts, extracting leads, deciding which action to take next, and tracking the result after connection or referral outreach.
Overall flow
Find job-related LinkedIn posts
Start from configured search keywords and locations.
Extract possible leads
Collect hiring-team, recruiter, referral, or email leads from the post and surrounding context.
Queue the right outreach action
Decide whether a lead is better for connection outreach, referral follow-up, or email outreach.
Send the right message
Use connection requests, referral messages, or email outreach where appropriate.
Track statuses and follow-ups
Keep sent, failed, accepted, and follow-up states visible.
Configure LinkedIn Post Leads
Open Settings
Go to the referral settings area before starting a scan.
Find LinkedIn Post Leads
Use the post-lead scan settings for keywords, limits, and filtering.
Add role keywords
Use the job titles or skill phrases you want the scanner to look for.
Add target locations
Keep the search aligned to your actual role targets.
Review other filters and limits
Use conservative defaults for post scanning and related activity.
Save settings and refresh LinkedIn
Refresh after changing settings so the current page loads the new values.
warning
Use conservative LinkedIn activity settings
LinkedIn controls its own account activity limits. Use conservative defaults, avoid unusually high automated activity, and remember that you remain responsible for how your account is used.
Run Post Lead Scan
Open LinkedIn Posts Job Lead Scanner
Start from the scanner workflow after your settings are ready.
Click Start Post Lead Scan
This runs the configured LinkedIn post scan workflow.
Let Jobora search and scan
It opens or searches LinkedIn according to the current workflow configuration.
Review extracted leads in Referral Engine
Do not treat every extracted person or email as a guaranteed hiring lead.
Separate lead types
Split email-capable leads from connection or referral targets before acting on them.
Verify before outreach
Check the job relevance and the lead context before sending anything.
Possible lead types
- Job-post author
- Recruiter or hiring-team contact
- Email address found in the post or surrounding context
- Another lead that still looks relevant to the target role
Connection checkpoint
Open Referral Engine
Use the referral workflow area before you start referral messages.
Find Connection Checkpoint
This workflow is used to mark the historical boundary for newer accepted connections.
Set the checkpoint
Choose the connection that future runs should stop at when looking for newly accepted connections.
Use it later for referral messages
Future referral-message runs can focus on newer accepted connections above that checkpoint.
Send connection requests
Review Connection Request settings and limits
Check daily limits, per-run limits, and note behavior before sending.
Choose note behavior if needed
The current settings support sending without a note or with an AI note.
Preview the queue
Remove weak or irrelevant targets before you send.
Click Send Pending Connection Requests
Run the queued connection action once the targets look right.
Review updated statuses
Track what was sent, skipped, or blocked.
info
Notes are situational
LinkedIn may limit how many personalized notes or connection actions are available based on account type and current platform policy. A note can add context, while a request without a note may feel lower-friction. Test what works for your audience.
Referral messages after a connection is accepted
Wait for connection requests to be accepted
Do not jump into referral messaging before the connection exists.
Open the referral-message workflow
Start the post-connection messaging flow from Referral Engine.
Use the checkpoint
Focus on new accepted connections rather than rescanning older ones.
Generate a grounded message
Use the job post, your profile, and the lead context to create the message draft.
Review the message
Edit tone, ask, and role context before it is sent.
Send and track the result
Record sent, failed, skipped, and follow-up statuses.
Use Email Outreach for email-capable leads
When the scan finds a useful email lead, move that person into the email workflow instead of forcing everything through LinkedIn messages.
